Improving the lives of people in the community and surrounding the community for each project.
Birambye measures each type of service based on the local resources and needs of the community at hand.
1. The funds generated by the Birambye Lodge will be used for the benefit of the community to provide for healthier living environments and educational opportunities for individuals to excel on a path they choose.
2. By providing hands-on training for the local contractors, staff and management personnel of each project, the capacity building provides for a renewable environment without the need for donations and continued support from outside the community.
Birambye International will conduct workshops at each community project that will focus on a zero net energy footprint for each building designed.
1. Workshops include using the renewable sources of wind, solar, bio-gas and rainwater for power and energy of each facility.
2. Birambye Lodge Workshops, Rwanda has embraced alternative energy because of the limited resources and several local companies will supply the materials for each workshop.
3. Children’s Village Kigarama Orphanage Kitchen Workshops, efficient building practices and unique technologies will be introduced to learn about best building practices in Rwanda, while providing the tools to easily construct a durable, elegant and manageable sized kitchen.
Designing by recognizing the deep unique cultural traits of each community we work in.
1. Birambye strives to preservation of local traditions by learning the character of the surrounding communities and share the history through our projects. The traditional thatching proposed for the Birambye Lodge was inspired by the traditional Rwandan King’s palace in Nyanza.
