Our Partners

Birambye International recognizes that where projects fail, sustainable enterprise with local partners can succeed. Our long-term Rwandan partner is the non-governmental organization GAERG (Groupe des Anciens Etudiants Réscapés du Genocide, in English: Genocide Survivors Students Association [GSSA]) an association without any lucrative goals. GAERG gathers former students that are survivors of the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda. These students may have finished their studies or may have given up their studies because of various problems they faced in their life after Genocide. Being a derivative Association from AERG (Association des Etudiants et Eleves Rescapes du Genocide) that gathers several students together, GAERG has the main objective to look after the younger generation by providing the necessary resources and support to be restored. GAERG will provide guidance in selecting and managing all Birambye projects in Rwanda. In addition, GAERG provides invaluable cultural and political insight.
